I’ve been working on a little side project using some fancy AI and after months it feels right to release it. Looking to generate a way to Track F1 Points across a few different tracks AI was able to help generate the F1 RC Series Tracker page.
I set this up to track both Carpet and Asphalt then also a Combined for an Overall. The goal of this project was to track and promote F1 Racing while also promoting drivers. I know we have some carpet only fans, and racers in some states that only have asphalt. That was my reason behind separating them. But I also wanted to promote drivers to maybe explore a different surface or travel when possible.
Breaking it down by seasons in a Yearly schedule I set this up to start the season October 1st as thats really kind of the carpet season kick off. But extending the season as a complete year I figure this will help capture the asphalt racers as well.
Here’s how it works. I’ve set up the common popular tracks I know of that have a standing crowd of F1 racers for both surfaces. It automatically parses these tracks with F1 in the class name. These tracks are not locked in but once on the schedule they will remain for the entire season.
You race an F1 race at these tracks, whether Club or Trophy and it tracks your results. Starting from 1st and descending down to 10th you will be scored on a declining scale according to your finish. A win (1st place) awards you 10 points, second is 9, third is 8 and so on. Once down below 10th place all drivers are rewarded a single point for any position. Every race, every spot outside the A-main is rewarded for racing. The TQ driver is awarded an additional single +1 point for the reward.
The idea behind this is to promote racing the class, regardless of finishing position and to race as often as possible. Another goal of helping promote class attendance at tracks. The scoring breaks it down by carpet – aspahlt and then also completes a combined as an overall season winner. Again another goal to help promote drivers to race as often as possible no matter the surface.
When you get to the page you will see the current season if it has begun. You will see a drop down box showing the current season but can also click it open to view prior seasons, archived. Once on that page you can click the surface types to view standings, as well as the Combined to see the overall.
Clicking on any drivers names can also bring up their personal stats. A blue line showing their starting positions and the red line their finishes. Below that a graph showing their points earned per race. And scrolling down will list the Dates and Tracks they were scored at.
Clicking the ‘Races’ tab at the top will list all the tracks and races used for scoring as well. On teh Races page you will see a link for Tracked Tracks. Split between Carpet and Asphalt you can see the last date and time the track was synched and scored.

More tracks can be added but I will put the Deadline to add them at January 1 of the new year. New tracks will be synched and scores counted in beginning at the start of the current season.
Points and scoring are always for fun but the goal is really to help keep promoting the Tracks and the Class. Just get out there and race, every spot holds a point that can keep adding things together.
